The story of a photograph that made the play famous

Photographs highlighting the pathetic situations can reach millions of people and one such is journalist and war photographer Paul Watson’s photography’s on an American soldier being dreadfully dragged into the street and tortured by the crowd during Somalian war in 1993. Watson was able to capture the mood of the men and women dragging the soldier on the street and the torture meted out to the soldier that eventually lead to his death. This photograph created awareness about the situation of the war which lead to America withdrawing from the war and Watson was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1994.
